Handspun Handwoven Wool Shoulder Bag

The two natural colors of the California Red Sheep fleece were handspun and handwoven on the rigid heddle loom to create this shoulder bag.

Be sure to look at the page on Sheep Sense to learn about the rare breed of California Red sheep.

The pattern is formed by using handmade maple pickup sticks to raise warp threads on the rigid heddle loom.   When the weft is passed under these raised threads, a pattern is created.
